Its a dream for many Nurses to obtain a Green card for the US to procure a settled and advanced life. The fact is that the chance to obtain a green card to the US is more for a registered nurse than for any other professionals.

Group II- Foreign people who have been practicing the science and art during the year prior to the application who are exceptional in the same field and who intend to practice the same science or art in the US. The alien shall not have studied at a college or university in order to qualify for the Group II occupation. 2020 the year of the COVID-19 pandemic has also become the year of nurses. When the whole world is fighting against the deadly Coronavirus, health workers are the most appreciated, “especially nurses”. The disease caused by the Novel Coronavirus has left us with an alarming shortage of doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals. The nursing workforce has been central to COVID-19 response effectiveness in all countries. Every nation ramped up with excessive demand for nurses for quality treatment. Most of the health workers were not able to show up as they contract the virus or they have to be in self-quarantine. The only solution to make it easier is to bring in doctors and nurses from abroad.

The US health system already relies heavily on immigrants, who make up 17% of all health care workers and more than one in four doctors. At a time when coronavirus is pushing states like Washington and New York to the limits of their resources, those health care workers will be all the more critical. Many states are also projected to face significant nursing shortages in the coming years, particularly California and Texas. To deal with the nursing shortage, meanwhile, US Citizenship and Immigration Services — the agency that administers work visas — could change its policies to give nurses more pathways to come to the US. It could allow nurses with bachelor’s degrees to apply for H-1B skilled worker visas, which are not currently available to them.

An already impending shortage of nurses in Canada has aggravated a lot more because of the COVID-19 situation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an increased need for human resources within the existing healthcare settings and in alternate care facilities as well. In these requirements, the most important one is that of the nurses. The Canadian government is also doing all that is possible to bring more overseas nurses. Health care workforce diversity is being considered as one of the most effective pandemic planning and responsive measures, which essentially means more hiring of international nurses. The future of nursing in Canada amidst the Corona Virus pandemic and staff shortages will be nothing less than bright with immense professional development opportunities, frequent recruitment drives, better pay rates, support, and allowances.

Nurses have a huge role to play in ensuring the health and well-being of the citizens and therefore, they are in high demand at present. As difficult as the times might be for healthcare workers as they fight the ongoing pandemic but the future of nursing in Canada looks promising. This is because Canada will be recruiting more nurses while giving them exceptional job opportunities and career development in the future.

The major reason for these developments is that governments all over the world are realizing the importance of nurses and giving them what they owed.

Are you a NCLEX aspirant? Here are some winning tips!

National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) is the imperative breakthrough for each nursing student.

Unlike the other exams the NCLEX is very different. The most important facet of the exam is to know what to expect. Passing the NCLEX is not only a huge triumph, but it also means you are legitimately equipped to commence your nursing profession!

To be fruitful it needs a lot of hard work. Apprehension about passing the NCLEX can be a concern with many nursing students and graduates. Here are five tips that can help you formulate:

Endorsement to take the exam: To write the NCLEX you need an Authorization To Test, also known as an ATT letter. To obtain this authorization, you should contact your nursing regulatory body (NRB) and apply. After reviewal of your application they will award you an ATT through your email. The authorization will expire after 90 days. Within this stipulated time, you have to appear for the test otherwise you will have to reapply.

Comprehend the test plan: In point of fact, there are two forms of NCLEX, the nursing degree you obtained will decide which type you can choose. NCLEX PN, is explicit to LPNs or for diploma holders in practical or vocational nursing. NCLEX RN, for registered nurses or those who hold an associate (ASN) or bachelor’s degree (BSN) in nursing. NCLEX RN exam is for six hours and the NCLEX PN will be for five hours inclusive of two non-compulsory break periods.

NCLEX is fragmented up into key subject arrays:

  • Safe and effective care management
  • Health promotion and maintenance
  • Psychological integrity
  • Physiological integrity (the largest section)
  • Proficiency in each array will lead you to success.

Predict variety: Your critical thinking skills for this job is challenged here. Among the three types of questions general knowledge questions are in multiple choice format and analysis and application type questions may be inclusive of charts, tables and graphics. The third and the most problematic ones necessitates you to apply facts, processes and rules for solution. Assume you will get more questions from two and three. There will be 75 to 265 questions, your completion of questions rests on the vital questions you have answered previously. There will be 15 trial questions which will not be counted in the final score.

Identify your learning and training style: In NCLEX processing, being thoughtful about what approaches can bring the best out of you can be an important facet. Practice a variety of tactics in your study methods and find out which method suits you. It is recommended to angle your study throughout nursing school toward the NCLEX.

Reminisce the ABCs: Prioritize on the Airway, Breathing and Circulation the most important touchpoints. The answers should be emphasised upon alleviating the patient and ranking up their needs based on the scenarios given in the question. The ABCs is a great way to run through test questions and determine what steps should be taken first.

While you are in NCLEX processing, it is mandate to evaluate external resources like study guides and practice tests. Curriculum based study from your nursing school courses is a must. Once you have completed the exam successfully, you are eligible for nursing license. NCLEX RN license is essential for working as nurse in US and Canada. The initial RN license will be for two years. The succeeding RN license renewal will also be valid for two years.
